We’ll be looking at this text in class today:

Camden Ostrander’s “Roscoe’s Wetsuit: Metamodern identity and Existentialism Surfing the Web Together in Donald Glover’s Because the Internet”

How do you understand the concept of transmedia after reading through this piece? What is Ostrander’s argument about how Donald Glover plays with “metamodern identity”? And how does that concept connect to other concepts we have discussed in class?

If you don’t show up for your appointment, you will receive a 5 point deduction on your final project. If you keep re-scheduling your appointment until it’s suddenly the end of the week and there are no appointment slots left, you will receive a 5 point deduction on your final project. If you show up 20 minutes late to your appointment and say “what i miss? lulz,” you will receive a death glare and a 5 point deduction on your final project.

All appointments are during the week of December 2nd – 6th. We will be meeting in my office, English Building room 220.

Room 220 is on the second floor of the English Building. Enter from Wright Street, take elevator to 2nd floor, turn right from elevator, turn left at the end of the hall, then turn right at the end of the hall. Room 220 is the first office to your right. It’s (almost) always open.
